Gruppo Fotografico OBIETTIVO SPEZIA

‘Obiettivo Spezia’ was born in January 2011 from a shared idea after photography courses. The name combines “objective” (the key element of photography) and “Spezia” (the city), summarising the group's aim: to point the photographic lens at the life of the La Spezia area in an objective way in order to enhance the city.
The logo depicts a lens with a tulip hood. The group's name is indicated on the border, while the Gulf of La Spezia is stylised on the lens with RGB colours representing the city centre (red), the surrounding area (green) and the sea (blue).
The group aims to use photography for social purposes, encouraging members to document changes in the area, collaborate with associations, document events and leave a trace through the annual photo book “A Year of Light”. This book includes speeches by an honorary member photographer and a local authority, the group's projects, collaborations, reports on events in La Spezia and reflections on photography
