Che cosa accade quando un’opera non si limita a essere guardata, ma ci guarda, ci accoglie e ci include?
Giovedì 7 maggio, alle ore 17.00 con ingresso libero, inauguriamo nella nostra Project Room un nuovo progetto dedicato a Michelangelo Pistoletto.
La mostra presenta quattro quadri specchianti: due opere appartenenti alla raccolta permanente del CAMeC, Autoritratto (1970) e Scimmia in gabbia (1962–73), e due opere concesse in prestito, appartenenti alla serie dei Frattali, realizzati tra il 1999 e il 2000.
Nei lavori esposti, la superficie riflettente diventa parte viva dell’opera: accoglie lo spazio, il movimento, la presenza di chi osserva. Il quadro non è più soltanto immagine, ma luogo di relazione, aperto al tempo e all’esperienza del pubblico.
Un’occasione per entrare dentro una delle ricerche più significative dell’arte contemporanea italiana.

Michelangelo Pistoletto. Memory of an Instant. Four Mirror Paintings
What happens when an artwork is not only looked at, but looks back at us, welcomes us, and includes us?
On Thursday, 7 May, at 5.00 p.m., we will inaugurate a new project dedicated to Michelangelo Pistoletto in the CAMeC Project Room.
The exhibition presents four mirror paintings: two works from the CAMeC permanent collection, Self-Portrait (1970) and Monkey in a Cage (1962–73), and two works on loan from the Fractals series, created between 1999 and 2000.
In the works on display, the reflective surface becomes a living part of the artwork: it welcomes the space, movement, and presence of the viewer. The painting is no longer simply an image, but a place of relation, open to time and to the public’s experience.
An opportunity to enter one of the most significant artistic investigations in Italian contemporary art.
